2027 Opposition Bombshell Leaks: Kenyan President Pick and Top CS Role Revealed in Shocking Deal

Kenya is once again in the political spotlight as a leaked document exposes a surprise deal from the united opposition, just two years before the 2027 General Election.

The leaked paper suggests a well-known political figure is being lined up as the opposition’s presidential candidate. At the same time, a former deputy president is being promised a powerful Top CS (Cabinet Secretary) role if the alliance wins.

This unexpected line-up has left many Kenyans talking, as it shows how serious the opposition is about defeating President William Ruto in the next election.

The opposition’s plan is built around the “Wantam” strategy, which stands for “One Term for Ruto.” The idea is to deny President Ruto a second term and replace him with a united opposition government.

While Ruto remains confident and says he will finish the mission God gave him in 2022, the opposition is working quietly behind the scenes to build a team that could shake the country’s political future.

According to the leaked details, a Wiper party leader is tipped to become the flagbearer. He is well-known for supporting past presidential campaigns but now wants his own shot at the top seat.

This potential candidate is backed by several influential leaders, including a former deputy president, top former ministers, and a sitting governor. Their goal is to form a powerful team that appeals to voters across regions.

The former deputy president, who leads a new party, is being considered for the position of Prime Cabinet Secretary (Top CS). This role will give him major influence in government operations, second only to the president.

Also discussed in the document are possible running mates for the presidential candidate. Names floated include a respected former Interior CS, a current governor, and a former justice minister.

If the governor is not chosen as a running mate, he may seek re-election in his county. However, if he loses, he could still take a Cabinet role, most likely as Interior CS.

If the former Interior CS and former Justice Minister are not chosen for deputy, they could still land powerful jobs, like Speaker of the Senate or Speaker of the National Assembly.

Another former Attorney General is being considered to return to his old job in the new government setup.

Political experts say this deal could succeed if the leaders stay united. A famous analyst warned that if they start competing among themselves, Ruto will have an easy win.

He especially cautioned Mt. Kenya leaders not to front their own presidential candidate. Doing so, he said, would split the opposition and hand Ruto a clear path to victory.

However, not everyone is excited by the leaked line-up. A vocal MP has dismissed the proposed team, saying many of them are part of the same system they are trying to replace.

He believes the country needs a fresh start with new leaders, not those who have already had their chance.

The question on many people’s minds is whether the former Prime Minister and ODM leader will support this new team. In an interview, he said he’s open to supporting either the Wiper leader or even Ruto, depending on the situation.

He admitted that he still respects his longtime ally in the Wiper party, but made it clear that no official request for support has been made yet.

Previously, the Wiper leader supported his ODM ally in 2013, 2017, and 2022. Now, he says, it’s his turn to receive support. He also said that his former ally lost public trust when he joined the current government.

As more details emerge, it’s clear that Kenya’s political scene is about to experience a major shift. The leaked deal might not be final, but it has already created tension and excitement in equal measure.

Will this opposition alliance hold? Can they present a united front strong enough to beat Ruto in 2027? Or will internal power struggles tear them apart?

What’s certain is that the 2027 election will be one of the most important, and possibly the most unpredictable, in Kenya’s history.
