Alejandro Garnacho’s turbulent chapter at Manchester United appears to be nearing its end, as Premier League clubs line up to offer the outcast winger a lifeline, most notably Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur.

With the Red Devils making it clear that Garnacho is not part of new head coach Ruben Amorim’s plans, the Argentina international is now the center of a high-stakes transfer scramble.

According to reports, United are actively seeking a buyer for the 21-year-old after he was told to find a new club at the end of last season.

Garnacho’s fate was sealed following a public clash with Amorim over being left out of the Europa League final starting lineup against Tottenham.

Since then, Garnacho has been excluded from United’s preseason and has been training separately alongside other sidelined stars such as Marcus Rashford, Antony, Tyrell Malacia, and Jadon Sancho. They’ve all been instructed to report to Carrington only after the first team has finished training.

Despite United initially slapping a hefty £70 million valuation on Garnacho, that price is now expected to dip due to the fallout and lack of preseason exposure.

However, any incoming transfer fee will be recorded as pure profit under the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, giving the club financial incentive to offload him quickly.

Aston Villa have shown strong interest in snapping up Garnacho, with insiders claiming that the winger has already been pictured in a Villa shirt, a subtle hint that didn’t go unnoticed by fans. Chelsea and Spurs are also reportedly monitoring the situation closely. Garnacho is said to prefer staying in the Premier League, which adds more fuel to this domestic transfer fire.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford’s own situation adds another twist to the saga. After a productive loan spell at Villa Park, where he netted four goals and six assists in 17 appearances, Rashford had a £40 million permanent deal lined up. But it collapsed, with Rashford now aiming for a Champions League-bound club, preferably Barcelona.

However, his £315,000-per-week wages and a contract that runs until 2028 are proving to be significant roadblocks. Barcelona, cash-strapped as ever, are reportedly interested only in a loan deal.

Rashford’s mature stance in recent interviews contrasts sharply with Garnacho’s fiery fallout. “When I leave it’s going to be no hard feelings,” said Rashford. “You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person. If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse.”

As United navigate a major summer reshuffle, all eyes are now on Garnacho and Rashford, two academy products on very different exit trajectories. With Garnacho’s future still up in the air but several Premier League sides circling, the next few weeks could be decisive for the young winger’s career.
