Arsenal may have already spent almost £200 million on new players this summer, but the transfer action at the Emirates is far from over.

Manager Mikel Arteta has wrapped up pre-season training, with his team ready to start their Premier League campaign against Manchester United this Sunday. But while the players focus on the match, the club’s new sporting director, Andrea Berta, is working tirelessly to make more signings before the transfer window closes in less than three weeks.

Two big names are currently at the center of Arsenal’s attention: Real Madrid star Rodrygo and Crystal Palace’s attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze. Both players have been linked with the Gunners, but competition is heating up fast.

The Rodrygo situation has taken a new twist. Manchester City have now joined Arsenal in the race to sign the 24-year-old Brazilian winger. Reports from Italy claim Pep Guardiola is a big admirer of Rodrygo, and Real Madrid are willing to sell for around €100 million (£86.5 million).

Arsenal had been strongly linked to Rodrygo before deciding to sign Noni Madueke for £52 million earlier in the window. Still, sources say the Gunners have not completely walked away from the deal and continue to monitor developments closely.

But with Manchester City now pushing for the player, Arsenal may face a tough battle if they decide to make a move. Guardiola’s interest could drive the price higher and force Arteta to make a quick decision.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have been handed a transfer boost in their pursuit of Eberechi Eze. Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has admitted he may not be able to keep the England international at Selhurst Park beyond this summer.

Eze’s £68 million release clause is set to expire on Friday, and speculation about his future is expected to grow in the coming days. Parish spoke openly about the situation after Palace’s Community Shield victory over Liverpool.

“Yeah listen, of course but players come and go in football clubs you know,” Parish told reporters. “I mean it’s a life cycle, isn’t it? Hopefully they’re still here, that’s what I’d like, but we’ll see.”

Eze has been in top form and is considered one of the most exciting attacking talents in the Premier League. His creativity, skill, and ability to change a game make him an attractive target for Arsenal, who are looking to strengthen their midfield and attacking options.

The player himself has not made any public statement about a potential move, but with Arsenal watching closely and the release clause deadline approaching, the next few days could be decisive.

While these high-profile transfer stories grab the headlines, there is also movement regarding some players leaving the Emirates. One of them is goalkeeper Karl Hein.

La Liga newcomers Levante have expressed interest in the 23-year-old Estonia international. Hein is in the final year of his Arsenal contract and sits far down the pecking order behind David Raya, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Tommy Setford.

He spent last season on loan with Real Valladolid in Spain but could not help them avoid relegation to the second division. Despite that, his performances have attracted attention from other clubs, including Rangers and Sevilla.

According to Spanish outlet Cadena SER, Levante see Hein as a potential addition to help them in their first season back in the top flight. Whether Arsenal will allow him to leave before the window shuts remains to be seen.

For Arsenal fans, the coming weeks promise plenty of drama. The club has already signed six players this summer for a total of £195 million, but with Andrea Berta now in charge of recruitment, it seems clear that Arsenal still have ambitions to strengthen further.

The pursuit of Rodrygo and Eze shows Arsenal’s intent to compete at the very top level, but the Gunners will have to move fast. Manchester City’s interest in Rodrygo could complicate matters, and Palace may soon lose patience over Eze’s future.

For Arteta, the challenge is balancing transfer business with preparing his squad for the season opener against a strong Manchester United side. Arsenal fans are hopeful that new signings could arrive in time to boost the team for the long campaign ahead.

With over £200 million potentially spent in one summer, Arsenal are showing that they are serious about challenging for trophies this season. Whether that includes Rodrygo, Eze, or other surprise signings, the next few days will be crucial.

One thing is certain: the Emirates will remain at the center of the transfer storm until the window closes.
