Arsenal are stepping up their summer transfer business with major moves for Viktor Gyokeres, Rodrygo, and Eberechi Eze, all in a bid to end their Premier League title drought.

The Gunners, determined to end Manchester City’s reign at the top, are now moving aggressively in the market as they prepare for a defining 2025/26 season under Mikel Arteta.

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal are now in advanced negotiations with Sporting Lisbon to bring Viktor Gyokeres to the Emirates. After months of chasing the ideal striker, Arteta may have found his man.

Reports suggest the Swedish striker has already agreed to a five-year deal, with the North London club now moving away from their backup option Benjamin Sesko. Gyokeres’ goal-scoring record in Portugal makes him a key solution to Arsenal’s No.9 problem.

Arsenal’s ambition doesn’t stop there. Sources close to Mirror Football claim the Gunners have been encouraged by Rodrygo’s reduced involvement at Real Madrid during the Club World Cup.

Once a mainstay under Carlo Ancelotti, the 24-year-old Brazilian was left on the bench during Madrid’s U.S. clash with Juventus, raising fresh doubts about his long-term future at the Bernabeu.

While Rodrygo reportedly wants to fight for his place, Arsenal are willing to bide their time for the elite winger as they prepare an ambitious move. The club sees him as a potential game-changer on the left flank, a key area identified for reinforcement.

The Standard reports that Arsenal have also made Eberechi Eze a prime midfield target. However, Crystal Palace have made it clear they won’t sell below his £86 million release clause.

To make matters more complex, Palace are demanding the £68 million portion of that fee be paid in three structured instalments, a third up front, a third in 2026, and the final payment in 2027.

Arsenal, preferring to spread payments over a longer period, may look to negotiate flexible terms, but Palace’s firm stance could force the Gunners into tough financial decisions.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has already arrived, while midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard are also expected to follow. If Arsenal can close all three marquee deals, Rodrygo, Gyokeres, and Eze, it would mark one of the most ambitious transfer windows in recent club history.

The pressure is on Arteta and Edu to deliver silverware, and these signings would go a long way in turning Arsenal from title challengers into title favorites.
