Manchester United are getting closer than ever to signing Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko, but there are still two issues left before the move becomes official. While Sesko has said “yes” to joining the Red Devils, negotiations with RB Leipzig are not fully complete. But according to trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano, the deal could be finished very soon.

In fact, Romano says that Sesko has already agreed on everything on his side. He’s ready to wear the Manchester United shirt and sign a long-term deal that runs until June 2030. But the two clubs – United and Leipzig – are still working out the details of the transfer fee.

Sesko, often called “The Beast” because of his 6ft 5in height and powerful playing style, is one of the most exciting young strikers in Europe. At just 22 years old, he’s already caught the attention of top clubs, including Newcastle United, who reportedly offered more money than Manchester United.

But Sesko wants to play for Manchester United. He made that clear to his current club, RB Leipzig. Now, the English giants are trying to adjust their offer so they can seal the deal.

Fabrizio Romano posted on X (formerly Twitter) that “Manchester United and RB Leipzig are in direct talks again to adjust the fee package and add-ons,” with everyone trying to “get it done ASAP.” While personal terms are completely agreed, the two clubs need to find the perfect formula for the final price and bonus structure.

Romano also shared updates on his YouTube channel, explaining that the deal is now in its final stages. He says Manchester United are confident, Sesko is training separately from the RB Leipzig squad, and is “ready to fly” for his medical tests.

Meanwhile, Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg also gave new information. He posted at midnight that there was “no agreement yet” between the two clubs, but new negotiations were scheduled for Thursday morning. A few hours later, he confirmed those talks were already happening.

Plettenberg said the deal is not easy, but all parties are optimistic. Everyone believes that Sesko will become a Manchester United player soon – it just needs a little more patience.

So far, Manchester United have offered €80 million (around £69.8 million) plus add-ons. But since Newcastle’s bid was financially stronger, United are now improving their proposal to make the deal attractive for RB Leipzig.

Transfer insider Ben Jacobs has confirmed that talks are progressing well. And Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri has also mentioned the timeline is tight, meaning the deal could be done in just hours or days.

Sesko is not just a tall striker – he’s a real nightmare for defenders. His speed, strength, and finishing skills make him a serious threat in the box. United fans are already excited about what he could bring to the team.

With current strikers struggling for consistency, bringing in a talent like Sesko could change everything for Erik ten Hag’s team.

Even as they try to wrap up the Sesko deal, Manchester United are already planning their next move. According to both Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein, United have contacted Brighton about young midfielder Carlos Baleba.

Baleba, a 21-year-old Cameroon international, is seen as a powerful addition to United’s midfield. Former player Rio Ferdinand has even urged United to “go hard” for him. But Brighton aren’t planning to sell, and the deal may be too difficult this summer.

In addition to Baleba, United are chasing another young striker from Serie A, aged just 17. The club is reportedly willing to “pay whatever” is needed to sign him, as he has attracted big attention from many teams.

While the name hasn’t been officially confirmed, insiders say the Red Devils are working behind the scenes to lock in the next big star before their rivals do.

Manchester United fans are counting down the hours. Benjamin Sesko has made up his mind – he wants Old Trafford. The only thing stopping the deal now is paperwork and negotiation details.

With patience, precision, and a little flexibility, Manchester United could soon welcome The Beast to their squad.

The question now is simple: Will the Red Devils solve the two remaining issues in time to complete the transfer?

All eyes are on Thursday morning’s talks. The clock is ticking, and Sesko is ready to fly.
