The stage is set for a thrilling finale as Rayon Sports Women FC from Rwanda prepare to face Tanzania’s JKT Queens in the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers final on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM (EAT).

Rayon Sports Women FC have been the surprise package of the tournament, showcasing remarkable performances to reach their first-ever CECAFA Qualifiers final. A win in Nairobi would not only crown them regional champions but also secure a coveted place in the CAF Women’s Champions League, Africa’s premier women’s club competition.

JKT Queens, one of the most experienced sides in the region, will come into the final with high expectations, bringing their physical and tactical strength to what promises to be a fiercely contested match.

Organizers have confirmed that entry to the match will be free, in a bid to attract a large crowd and boost support for women’s football in the region.

“We are calling on all fans, especially those in Nairobi, to come and support the teams. This is more than just a game; it’s a celebration of women’s football in East and Central Africa,” a CAF CECAFA representative said.

Rayon Sports Women FC are carrying the hopes of Rwanda as they look to write a new chapter in the country’s football history. A victory would mark a significant milestone for the club and serve as an inspiration for the next generation of female footballers.

The match is expected to draw fans from across Kenya and neighboring countries, creating an electric atmosphere at Kasarani as two of the region’s top clubs battle for glory.
