Kenya is mourning with one of its most popular forex traders, David Mwangi, after the sudden death of his baby son, Mateo. The heartbreaking news came just days after the little boy had celebrated his first birthday in a colorful party filled with joy and love.

David Mwangi, known online as King David FX Goat, and his wife are now facing the most painful moment of their lives. Mateo was their secondborn child, and his passing has shocked many fans and followers.

The young couple announced the news on social media, posting emotional videos and tributes. David shared a clip of Mateo enjoying a swim, wearing floaters and smiling happily. Along with the video, he wrote a short but painful message:
“I am in so much pain.”

His wife, known by her handle kingdavidsqueen, shared the same video and added her own emotional words:
“My Mateo is no more. Why Mateo.”

Many Kenyans joined them in mourning, flooding the comments section with messages of love, prayer, and comfort. They sent hugs, tears, and words of encouragement, even though no one truly knows what to say during such a painful time.

One fan, @ceo_gatimu, wrote:
“Baby Mateo. Go well son.”

Another, @stevebikoless, said:
“May God comfort you through this difficult time.”

Others were shocked and heartbroken, especially after seeing the joyful posts from just days before. Mateo had just turned one on June 16. His parents had organized a private birthday party attended by close family and friends. There was laughter, cake, and celebration, no one expected that this would be their last celebration with him.

During the party, David’s wife gave a moving speech. She said Mateo had been a surprise baby, but a true blessing in their lives.

“My son, Mateo, wasn’t planned. He is a blessing. I’m a 22-year-old with two kids… Mateo is bubbly. He walked at seven months.”

She spoke about how different he was from their firstborn child and how fast he grew. The happiness in her voice was clear, she loved her son deeply.

What makes the tragedy even sadder is that only three days before Mateo’s death, the family was on a vacation. David had planned a surprise for his wife during the trip. In a video shared online, he called her to the bedroom where he had laid out a pile of KSh 1,000 notes.

She walked in, surprised and smiling, as she picked up the money, counting and laughing with joy. David captioned the moment:
“She thought it was just a vacation… But I had a little secret planned. Surprising my queen because she deserves the world.”

He praised his wife for standing by him when he had nothing and promised to always give her everything now that he was successful. That sweet moment is now a painful memory. No one could have predicted the darkness that was coming.

Details about Mateo’s death are still unknown. The family has not shared the cause, and many people are still in shock. Some fans have said they feel like the little boy had become part of their online family, as David and his wife always shared happy moments with their children.

This tragedy has reminded many people how short and unpredictable life can be. One moment, you are laughing with your child, and the next, you are mourning them. It has made people online hug their own children tighter and say “I love you” more often.

David Mwangi built his name through hard work, trading in forex, and sharing his journey with his followers. Many young people admire his success and his love for family. That’s why the loss of Mateo has touched so many hearts.

People from all parts of Kenya, influencers, traders, mothers, and fathers, have come together to show support. The sadness has united people in love, and the Mwangi family is feeling that support during this hard time.

For now, there are more tears than words. More questions than answers. But one thing is clear: Mateo was deeply loved. In just one year of life, he brought smiles, joy, and memories that will never fade.

The Mwangi family may never forget the pain of losing him, but they will also never forget the happiness he gave them. The bubbly boy who walked at seven months, the child who brought sunshine into their lives, Mateo, gone too soon, but never forgotten.

Rest in peace, little Mateo!
