Newcastle United’s fiery winger Anthony Gordon has sent a clear message to Liverpool ahead of their massive Premier League showdown at St James’ Park next Monday night.

The warning comes at a time of huge drama around Alexander Isak, Newcastle’s star striker, who is currently at the center of a heated transfer tug-of-war.

Isak was notably absent from Newcastle’s goalless draw with Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday. His absence left many fans frustrated, especially with Liverpool pushing hard to sign him.

Supporters made their feelings very clear. After the final whistle, angry Newcastle fans were heard chanting: “There’s only one greedy b****!”

The chants showed just how unhappy they are with the way the Isak saga has developed.

Liverpool already had one bid for Isak turned down by Newcastle, but reports suggest they are preparing another.

The 25-year-old Swedish forward has told the club he does not want to play for the Magpies again, adding more fuel to the fire.

This means Monday night’s clash against Liverpool is no ordinary game, it’s set to be full of emotion, drama, and possibly chaos.

Speaking to TNT Sports after the Villa draw, Gordon, himself a boyhood Liverpool fan from Merseyside, warned: “With everything that’s gone on I’m sure the atmosphere is going to be a bit wild!
I’ll be excited to see the home fans again, get back in the stadium. It’s going to be a top game.”

The message was simple: Liverpool will not get an easy ride when they step into Newcastle’s fortress.

Manager Eddie Howe admitted the whole Isak situation is far from ideal, but praised his players for keeping their focus.

“It’s a difficult one to answer. I hope it’s resolved quickly, because it’s news around us all the time.
Players have managed to shut that out and perform. We have to continue to do that. We have to cope without the narrative against us.”

On facing Liverpool, Howe added: “It’s always spicy against Liverpool, there’s a history to the fixture. We look forward to it. We know how good they are.”

Liverpool kicked off their Premier League season with a thrilling 4-2 win over Bournemouth at Anfield on Friday.

New signing Hugo Ekitike opened his account for the Reds, while Federico Chiesa and Mo Salah struck late to secure a dramatic victory.

Jurgen Klopp’s side look sharp, confident, and dangerous, something Newcastle cannot ignore.

These two sides already have a fiery recent history.

In March, Newcastle beat Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final, lifting silverware at Wembley.

In December, their league meeting at St James’ Park ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Both matches were intense, and Monday promises to be no different.

For Newcastle, it’s not just about three points. It’s about pride, passion, and making a statement.

The Isak transfer storm has shaken the club, but Anthony Gordon’s words suggest they’re ready to fight.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are looking to maintain momentum and prove they can challenge for the title this season.

Gordon’s comments make it clear that the Newcastle crowd will play a huge role.

The atmosphere at St James’ Park is always electric, but with Liverpool trying to lure away their top striker, the fans are expected to turn up the volume even more.

Liverpool will walk into a storm.

With Gordon’s fiery warning, Howe’s calm approach, and the Isak drama in the background, Monday night’s clash is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about games of the season already.

Liverpool may want Alexander Isak, but before they get close to signing him, they must first survive St James’ Park.
