Controversial city preacher Victor Kanyari is back in the headlines and this time he is boasting, not apologising.
Years after the infamous Sh310 seed saga rocked Kenya, Kanyari now claims the controversial campaign made him billions of shillings, sending shockwaves across social media and reopening old wounds among Kenyans who once emptied their pockets for “miracles.”

According to Kanyari, the Sh310 drive was a cash-printing machine. He claims money was pouring in daily, sometimes hitting nearly Sh1 million every single day, as desperate believers sent the now-notorious amount via M-Pesa hoping for jobs, healing, marriages, and financial breakthroughs.

“At my peak, I was making serious money,” Kanyari reportedly said, confidently declaring that the income ran for years, not months enough, by his calculation, to cross into the billions.

The revelation has reignited fury online, with many Kenyans asking how a man once exposed for staging miracles can now proudly celebrate profits made from one of the country’s most controversial religious schemes.

Even more explosive is the irony: Kanyari had previously admitted the Sh310 campaign was born out of personal desperation and poverty, not divine revelation. He once confessed he was struggling financially and used the seed message as a way out; a confession that shocked the nation.Yet today, there is no remorse in his tone.

Kanyari now speaks of luxury cars, investments, and educating his children comfortably, all while critics accuse him of mocking faith and glorifying exploitation.

Supporters, however, argue he is simply being honest in a society where religion and money often collide.
Once a rising televangelism star, then a national cautionary tale, Kanyari remains a master of controversy, proving once again that in Kenya, faith scandals never truly die, they just resurface louder.
