Ghanaian star singer Fantana has surprised many after posting a sharp message on social media, accusing Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz of repeatedly using her name for his own benefit, especially for publicity.
This came after Diamond Platnumz mentioned Fantana’s name on stage during a major concert he held in Lagos, Nigeria. Fantana said this was completely inappropriate, especially if Diamond is truly living a happy married life as he portrays on social media.
Through a 24-hour message on Instagram Stories, Francine Nyanko Koffi, popularly known as Fantana, expressed her displeasure at Diamond continuing to mention her publicly and during his shows, questioning why he keeps paying attention to her while claiming to be satisfied with his personal life.
She said: “If you’re really happy in your marriage, why is my name always in your mouth?”

Fantana added that it was unacceptable for an artist of Diamond’s stature to stand in front of a large audience at an international concert and, instead of focusing on his music, choose to mention her name.
She went on to insist that Diamond’s behavior resembles that of someone who still has feelings for her, urging him to stop and focus on his private life and marriage, which he presents as ideal on social media.
In strongly worded remarks, Fantana accused him of using the image of marriage as a publicity tool, also pointing out that his wedding ring is not even visible on his finger.
She said: “Don’t push me tonight! You pay me far too much attention. Let my name rest. Focus on your ‘social media marriage’ and that tiny ring that can’t even be seen.”
Fantana also warned Diamond Platnumz that if he continues interfering in her life, he may discover a different Fantana he never knew.
These exchanges have sparked intense debate on social media, with fans of both artists sharing mixed opinions. So far, Diamond Platnumz has not issued any response to the remarks directed at him.
