Kigali is gearing up for a call massive start to the new year as Jamaican dancehall heavyweights Mavado and Shenseea have been officially confirmed to perform at the BK Arena on January 3, 2026.

The highly anticipated show was confirmed by BK Arena management, putting to rest days of speculation and confusion that had surrounded the event. The announcement has since sparked excitement among dancehall fans in Rwanda and across the East African region, many of whom have been eagerly waiting to see the two global stars perform live on Rwandan soil.

Mavado, known worldwide for hits such as “So Special,” “Cheat On Me,” and “Give It All to Me,” is regarded as one of Jamaica’s most influential dancehall artists. He will share the stage with Shenseea, one of the genre’s fastest-rising female stars, celebrated for chart-topping songs like “Blessed,” “Run Run,” and “Loodi.”

The concert is expected to draw thousands of fans to the state-of-the-art BK Arena, further cementing Kigali’s growing reputation as a regional hub for major international music events. Organisers say the show will usher in 2026 with high-energy performances, vibrant production, and a true taste of Jamaican dancehall culture.

More details regarding ticket sales, supporting acts, and event logistics are expected to be announced in the coming days.
