The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has announced that performance reports for the 2025 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) will be available starting Monday, January 12, 2026.
According to KNEC, schools that presented candidates for KPSEA will be able to access the learners’ performance reports through official school portals. Parents and guardians are therefore advised to liaise with their respective schools to obtain the results, as individual SMS checking is not applicable for KPSEA.
KNEC Chief Executive Officer David Njeng’ere said details on how schools will access the reports will be communicated through an official circular. The results will guide the transition of Grade 6 learners to Junior Secondary School (Grade 7) under the Competency-Based Education (CBE).
The release comes as the education sector prepares for smooth placement and progression of learners, with the Ministry of Education reiterating that all KPSEA candidates will transition to the next level of learning.
KPSEA replaced the former KCPE examination and focuses on assessing learners’ competencies rather than ranking them.
Parents are encouraged to remain calm and support their children as they move to the next stage of their education journey.
