Red Devils Close In on Mbeumo as Sancho Offered to European Giants in Sensational Transfer Twist and New Signing Sends Message

Manchester United are doubling down on their pursuit of Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo after having two transfer bids turned down, with insiders revealing a third bid worth £65 million is on the way, a move they believe will finally convince Brentford to sell.  

The Red Devils, under new boss Ruben Amorim, have made Mbeumo their top summer target, and believe his 20-goal season is exactly what they need to power up their attack. 

Despite the lack of European football, United have already splashed cash on Matheus Cunha and are on track to spend over £100 million this summer. Amorim, determined to reshape the club with players who fit his style, views Mbeumo as a perfect system fit and is pushing the board to get the deal over the line before the end of the week. 

Meanwhile, in a dramatic twist, Juventus have stepped up their interest in Jadon Sancho, offering United a choice of three players in exchange.  

The Serie A giants are ready to part with Dusan Vlahovic, Douglas Luiz, or Timothy Weah to sweeten the deal, with Vlahovic once a top target for United and Arsenal. However, it remains unclear if United will take the bait, especially with Sancho’s value plummeting due to high wages and limited impact. 

The challenge for United is not just who they bring in, it’s who they manage to offload. Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Antony are all back from loan spells, but with massive wages and past price tags, moving them on won’t be easy. The club might have to accept losses just to clear the wage bill and make space for fresh talent. 

United’s January signing, Diego Leon, is brimming with confidence. The teenage left-back, who officially joins this summer due to his age, has no interest in leaving on loan. Speaking to Paraguayan media, Leon made it clear he plans to force his way into Amorim’s first team from day one: 

“I’m really happy, I think every player dreams of this. When you’re a professional, you have to adapt quickly, it is a massive opportunity. Everyone thinks I’ll go out on loan, but I don’t have that mindset. I’m going to kill it in pre-season and within one or two games, I’ll already be playing with them.” 

While United’s coaching staff haven’t decided his role yet, Leon’s self-belief could make him one to watch in pre-season matches.
