Manchester United fans are growing worried that their club could miss out on signing striker Benjamin Sesko. The reason? Rasmus Hojlund’s latest decision.
United are in a close race with Newcastle United to sign Sesko, a 22-year-old striker from RB Leipzig. He’s one of the top young forwards in Europe, and Leipzig wants at least £70 million for him.

Leipzig is open to selling Sesko, and they are said to like Rasmus Hojlund, who is already at Manchester United. Some believed a swap deal could work out.
However, a new report says Hojlund has told Manchester United that he wants to stay and fight for his spot. He does not want to move to RB Leipzig.

This has made things difficult for United. Without a possible swap, United might need to pay more money or find another way to sign Sesko.
Fans are not happy with Hojlund’s decision. Many took to social media to express their frustration.
One fan wrote, “So he’s gonna be the reason we don’t get Sesko? He’s not good enough and now he’s just making things worse.”
Another said, “If this stops us from getting Sesko, I’m done.”
A third fan added, “This guy really thinks he’ll play if Sesko joins?”
Meanwhile, Newcastle has already made a strong move. Reports say they have offered close to the £70 million asking price.
But Manchester United are not giving up. More talks are planned, and the club is “ready to make their move.”
Sesko was missing from RB Leipzig’s recent friendly match against Atalanta. Fans noticed, and transfer rumors only got stronger.
RB Leipzig official Marcel Schafer said, “We won’t share too many details, but it’s clear that several clubs are interested and have made contact.”
Sesko has a “gentleman’s agreement” with Leipzig. If a good offer comes in, he’s allowed to leave. That gives Manchester United some hope.
However, Newcastle’s interest is growing fast, partly because they fear losing Alexander Isak to Liverpool. If Isak leaves, Sesko would likely replace him.
As Sesko’s future remains unclear, Manchester United is also preparing for their final match in the U.S. tour against Everton.
Fans will finally get to see new signing Bryan Mbeumo make his debut. The former Brentford star joined for up to £71 million.
Mbeumo didn’t play in previous games against West Ham and Bournemouth because he needed time to catch up on fitness.
Now, Ruben Amorim, United’s manager, says Mbeumo is ready. “He’s going to play. I’m excited to see what he can bring to the team,” Amorim said.
Mbeumo scored 20 Premier League goals last season and is expected to be a key part of United’s attack this year.
While fans are eager to see Mbeumo in action, the drama around Sesko continues to dominate headlines.
There’s also fresh news about Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese midfielder is attracting interest again from Saudi Arabia.
This time, it’s Al-Nassr who want him. Their manager, Jorge Jesus, previously worked with Bruno at Sporting Lisbon and wants to reunite.
Earlier this summer, Al-Hilal offered Fernandes a deal worth around £61 million per year. United also received a huge transfer offer.
Now, with Al-Nassr showing interest, United may need to make a decision on their captain’s future soon.
As the new season approaches, Manchester United is facing many big questions. Will they sign Sesko? Will Hojlund stay and succeed? And can Mbeumo make an instant impact?
The club’s next few moves could define their season and fans around the world are watching every step.
