Manchester United’s summer transfer journey has taken a dramatic twist. Just when fans thought Benjamin Sesko was coming to Old Trafford, new reports suggest the deal could collapse. Newcastle have already made a move for the young RB Leipzig striker, but now Manchester United are rushing to secure the 21-year-old before it’s too late.

United have the money to sign Sesko without needing to sell any of their current players. In fact, they’ve already spent more than £120 million this summer to bring in Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, but they still lack one big thing: a true No. 9. That missing piece could decide their fate this season.

But things aren’t going smoothly. Newcastle’s early offer was rejected, and with Leipzig hesitating, United are being forced to explore other striker options. Manager Ruben Amorim is under pressure. He needs to fix United’s goal-scoring problems, and fast.

So who’s next on the list if Sesko doesn’t come?

Two surprise names have entered the race: Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea and Randal Kolo Muani from PSG. Both are talented, young, and hungry. Jackson may be available as Chelsea are reshaping their squad. They just signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, making Jackson’s position uncertain. Chelsea are open to selling, but only if a good offer comes in.

As for Kolo Muani, the story gets even more exciting. The French striker was close to joining Juventus. But now that deal seems to be off, Manchester United may have a real shot at signing him. PSG’s plans are still unclear, but if they give the green light, United could swoop in.

Meanwhile, there’s another twist: Rasmus Hojlund, the £70m striker United signed last season from Atalanta, might be leaving. Bayer Leverkusen are showing serious interest, and Ten Hag may actually reunite with the Dane, again. It was Ten Hag who signed Hojlund just one year ago, but after a disappointing first season, the club is open to talks.

Other clubs like AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Juventus are also tracking Hojlund’s situation. Even though Hojlund wants to stay and prove himself, manager Ruben Amorim admitted he cannot promise Hojlund will still be at the club when the transfer window closes.

Amorim is also under pressure. Last season, fans expected more from him. This summer, he’s hoping his time on the training pitch will turn things around. But time is running out, and the Premier League season starts in less than two weeks.

Behind the scenes, United’s CEO Omar Berrada and Director of Football Jason Wilcox are working day and night. Berrada recently said the team is doing everything they can to find new talent and make smart decisions. “We want to win and start winning titles as soon as possible,” he said.

It’s a wild summer for the Red Devils. Their top target might slip away, their current striker could be heading to Germany, and two new names are now being seriously considered. Fans are left wondering: who will lead the line for Manchester United when the new season begins?

With just days left before kickoff, United’s transfer strategy is being tested. One thing is clear: this summer window is far from over.
