According to Sky Victor accounts purporting to be her father Tash are impersonations created by others without permission.

Sky’s clarification comes amid rising online scrutiny of her family following the death of her mother, Betty Bayo,a well-known Kenyan gospel artist who died on November 10, 2025, after a battle with leukaemia.

In recent weeks, Sky has been very active on social media defending her family and sharing moments with both her biological father, Pastor Victor Kanyari, and her stepfather, Tash, as public debates over custody and online commentary have intensified.

In one widely shared video, she posted a touching clip of Tash getting her brother ready for an outing, captioning it “Dad getting Danny ready for an outing. Father-son moment,” which was seen as a show of support for his role in the family.

The social-media clarification about fake accounts emerged as online chatter about the family’s situation has continued to grow, including criticism from some users, speculation around the family’s private matters, and calls from commentators for Sky to step back from public posting.

Sky’s posts emphasize caution and verification, encouraging anyone who encounters impersonator profiles to report them to the respective platforms to prevent further spread of misinformation.

At this time there are no official statements from the social-media companies about the fake accounts, and it remains unclear who created them.

Online impersonation where people use someone else’s name and photos to start accounts is a growing concern in Kenya and globally, especially around public figures and trending news events.
