Ollie Watkins to Man Utd? Amorim’s Shocking Swap Deal Plan Shakes Up the Summer Transfer Window

Manchester United are making big moves this summer. They want to build a strong team and find the perfect striker. One name is at the top of their list: Ollie Watkins, the star forward from Aston Villa.

But there’s a problem. Money is tight. United must stay within the Premier League’s PSR (Profit and Sustainability Rules). So, instead of paying full cash, head coach Ruben Amorim is thinking of a creative solution: a player swap deal.

According to reports, United may offer Alejandro Garnacho in a swap deal for Watkins. Garnacho is a young and talented winger, but Amorim might be ready to let him go to get the striker he really wants.

Mirror Football says that Watkins is still the number one target. Amorim believes Watkins can lead the attack and help United compete at the top again.

So far, Amorim has already made two big signings: Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. They add speed and strength to the team. Also, Marcus Rashford has been loaned to Barcelona. More changes are coming.

Garnacho is now one of the players United are ready to sell. He has shown great promise, but he may not be in Amorim’s long-term plans. That’s why the idea of a player-plus-cash deal with Aston Villa is gaining interest.

The reports also say United have spoken to Chelsea about a similar kind of swap. The player they want in that case is Nicolas Jackson.

Jackson hasn’t had the best time at Chelsea lately. After the arrival of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, Jackson has dropped in the pecking order.

But Chelsea still want a high fee, £80 million, for Jackson. United might not be able to pay that unless they also offer a player like Garnacho in the deal.

Interestingly, Chelsea were interested in Garnacho back in January, but he stayed at United at that time. Things have changed now, and it looks harder for him to get regular playing time under Amorim.

Enzo Maresca, Chelsea’s new manager, already rejected one United winger this summer. They did not want to make Jadon Sancho’s loan permanent.

Reports say Chelsea value Garnacho at around £30 million, but United had asked for more than that during the winter. That high asking price may still be a problem.

If United can’t get Watkins or Jackson, they may look again at Benjamin Sesko. He’s another forward who has been on their radar.

But there’s also a surprise option: Bryan Mbeumo. Even though he usually plays as a winger, he says he’s ready to play as a striker too.

Mbeumo told the media, “In football today, you need to be adaptable. You have to play in more than one position.”

He added, “At Brentford, I played mainly as a winger, but also as a number 10 or even a number 9. I’ve played in many formations. That experience helps a lot.”

Mbeumo’s versatility gives Amorim more options. Maybe United won’t need to sign a new striker if Mbeumo performs well in that role.

Still, Watkins is a proven Premier League scorer. That’s why Amorim is pushing hard to bring him in.

It’s a bold strategy to offer a rising star like Garnacho, but Amorim believes it’s worth it to get the striker he needs.

The summer transfer window is heating up, and this possible swap deal between United and Aston Villa could be one of the biggest stories.

Will Garnacho leave Old Trafford? Will Watkins wear the red shirt of Manchester United next season? The fans are watching closely.

For now, Amorim’s smart and creative transfer ideas are shaking up the football world.
