Rwanda’s national team, Amavubi, delivered a commanding performance to defeat Grenada 4-0 in the semi-final of Group A at the FIFA Series tournament currently taking place in Kigali, securing a place in the final against Estonia.
From the opening whistle, Rwanda asserted dominance, maintaining possession and building attacks with fluid passing and high intensity.

Several fresh faces were included in the starting lineup, notably Byiringiro Gilbert, Mickels Leroy-Jacques, and Mickels Joy-Lance, while goalkeeper Kwizera Olivier made a return after a long absence.
The match was attended by Rwanda’s Head of State, Paul Kagame, adding significance to the encounter.
Rwanda broke the deadlock in the 44th minute through Mickels Leroy-Jacques, who struck a stunning long-range effort from approximately 40 meters out, leaving the Grenadian goalkeeper with no chance.
The hosts doubled their lead deep into first-half stoppage time (45+5), when Kwizera Jojea calmly finished off a well-delivered pass from Biramahire Abeddy.
In the second half, Rwanda maintained control of the game. Tactical substitutions were made in the 59th minute, with Ishimwe René and Hakim Sahabo coming on to replace Kwizera Jojea and Biramahire Abeddy.
Grenada also made changes shortly after, introducing Phillip Deanroy and Frank Romar in place of Raeburn Raheem and Clarke Keishon in the 64th minute.
Amavubi continued their attacking display, and in the 68th minute, captain Bizimana Djihad extended the lead with a powerful strike into the net following a well-coordinated build-up.
Hakim Sahabo sealed the emphatic victory in the 82nd minute, scoring a superb goal before celebrating with the home supporters.
Rwanda comfortably saw out the remaining minutes, securing a 4-0 victory at full time.
Amavubi will now face Estonia in the final. Estonia advanced after defeating Kenya 5-4 on penalties, following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
