“Don’t Give Him a Dime!” Oscar Sudi Blasts Gachagua’s Fundraiser in the US and Warns Kenyans Abroad

Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi has strongly warned Kenyans living in the United States not to give any money to former Deputy President and Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua. In a powerful video message that is now going viral, Sudi accused Gachagua of dishonesty, bitterness, and hypocrisy.

Sudi, who is a close ally of President William Ruto, told Kenyans abroad that Gachagua has no clear solutions to Kenya’s problems. He said Gachagua is only trying to stir public emotions and raise money without offering any real help.

According to Sudi, Gachagua is blaming others for his own political failure. He dismissed Gachagua’s recent claims that Ruto’s government is full of “school dropouts” who are misleading the country. Sudi responded by saying that Gachagua himself ignored genuine advice when he had power, and that’s why he was impeached.

The video, shared widely on social media, shows Sudi confidently calling out the former DP. He said Gachagua had once personally asked him for advice to survive an impeachment threat. Sudi claims he gave him advice, but Gachagua ignored it and later lost his position.

Sudi told Kenyans in the diaspora that their money should not go to someone who did not listen when it mattered. “You work hard for your money. Don’t waste it on someone who rejected good advice and now plays the victim,” he said.

He accused Gachagua of trying to bring down the economy by urging Kenyans abroad not to send money back home. This, Sudi said, was a selfish and dangerous move that could harm families and the nation at large.

Remittances from the diaspora are a lifeline for many families and play a big role in supporting Kenya’s economy. Sudi said anyone asking people to stop sending money is acting against the country’s interests.

He went on to say that Gachagua is promoting the “politics of bitterness” instead of unity and progress. “He keeps complaining about being ignored, but what is he offering? Just noise and drama,” Sudi said.

Sudi also revealed that Gachagua often criticized him for not having a university degree. But behind the scenes, Gachagua used to call him for political advice. “He insulted me in public but wanted my help in private,” Sudi said. “That’s not leadership; that’s hypocrisy.”

Gachagua is currently in the United States, where he has been meeting with Kenyans in the diaspora. During his trip, he claimed that President Ruto’s fallout with the Mt Kenya region had affected the economy and was causing discontent.

Gachagua encouraged Mt Kenya people abroad to withhold their remittances as a form of economic protest. He said their money gives them power and influence, and that by stopping the flow of money, they could push the government to listen to them.

But Sudi believes this is pure sabotage. He said such a call is a betrayal to the thousands of Kenyans who depend on money sent from the US and other countries. “You can’t claim to love Kenya and at the same time ask people to stop helping their families,” he said.

The war of words between Sudi and Gachagua is just the latest episode in the deepening cracks within the Kenya Kwanza camp. As the 2027 elections draw nearer, old alliances are breaking and new political battles are emerging.

Sudi made it clear that he will continue to support President Ruto’s leadership. He said those trying to weaken the government by spreading falsehoods will not succeed.

He urged Kenyans abroad to stand with the government and ignore “noisemakers” who are only interested in personal gain.

Meanwhile, Gachagua has remained defiant. He insists that the Mt Kenya region is being sidelined and that he will continue pushing for justice, even if it means upsetting his former political allies.

This public clash between Sudi and Gachagua has sparked heated debates online. Some people support Sudi’s message, saying it is time for leaders to be honest and focused. Others feel that Gachagua is raising valid concerns about regional inequality and deserves to be heard.

Regardless of where people stand, one thing is clear: Kenya’s political landscape is shifting, and the diaspora community is becoming more important than ever before.

As the drama unfolds, all eyes remain on the political heavyweight showdown between Oscar Sudi and Rigathi Gachagua, two men from the same side now fighting very different battles.
