President Duma Boko hosted a high-level State Banquet in honour of Paul Kagame at the prestigious Royal Aria, reaffirming the growing diplomatic and economic relationship between Botswana and Rwanda.
According to a statement shared by the Office of the President of Botswana on social media, the two leaders emphasized mutual respect, cooperation, and a shared commitment to strengthening long-term bilateral relations between their nations.
The banquet, attended by senior government officials, diplomats, and invited guests, symbolized the warm and cordial ties that continue to deepen between Kigali and Gaborone. Images released from the event showed both presidents exchanging remarks and toasting to the future partnership between the two countries.
The meeting comes at a time when African nations are increasingly seeking stronger regional collaboration in areas such as trade, investment, security, innovation, and infrastructure development. Both Rwanda and Botswana have often been recognized for their governance reforms and efforts toward economic modernization.
President Kagame’s visit is expected to further enhance cooperation between the two countries, particularly in sectors including technology, tourism, education, and regional integration within the African continent.
Observers say the diplomatic engagement highlights a broader vision among African leaders to promote intra-African partnerships and strengthen unity through strategic alliances and state-level cooperation.
