Social media is ablaze following a heated exchange between Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo and Tanzanian blogger Mange Kimambi, turning a celebrity disagreement into a full-blown digital feud.

The controversy began when Kimambi took to Instagram to criticize Iyabo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo, and her husband, Tanzanian musician Juma Jux. She slammed the couple for sharing what she called “foolish content” during a politically tense period in Tanzania. Kimambi even accused them of deliberately trying to divert public attention ahead of the country’s upcoming elections, implying they might be working with the government.

Iyabo Ojo responded swiftly and sharply, using her Instagram to defend her daughter and set the record straight.

Calling Kimambi’s remarks offensive and unacceptable, Ojo wrote, “Calling my daughter and her husband’s posts stupid is disrespectful. I don’t play when it comes to my child.”

She also addressed claims that the Tanzanian government paid for her daughter’s wedding, firmly denying the allegations. “Your government didn’t give us a dime. It’s our cultural practice for the bride’s family to pay. We Nigerians gave her a beautiful wedding in our own tradition,” she added.

But the drama didn’t end there.

Instead of backing off, Kimambi doubled down. In a post written in Swahili, she sarcastically thanked her “in-laws” for the publicity and claimed the backlash was helping her political movement gain traction.

“I’d love to respond to Priscy’s in-laws, but we’re staying focused,” she wrote, before adding, “Today everyone knows about ‘No Reform No Election.’”

Kimambi also expressed a desire to remain in the public eye, saying, “Let’s make sure they keep talking about me for at least a month so everyone in Africa knows who I am.”
